What is LemonSugar Ai?
LemonSugar Ai is the AI study companion that remembers what you need to learn — not just another place to ask an AI a question. You ask, it explains, it turns the explanation into practice, and it brings your weak spots back before the test.
Do I have to choose an AI model?
No. LemonSugar Ai looks at what each study task needs and chooses a suitable model for it — quick questions go to fast models, harder reasoning goes to stronger ones — so you never compare models or keep several subscriptions. You can override this per task type in Settings.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don't train on your conversations. Messages are routed through OpenRouter (our infrastructure provider) which also does not train on API traffic. You can also enable 'Privacy mode' in Settings to exclude OpenAI entirely, or use open-source only if you prefer.
Why do I need passes?
Passes are your prepaid answers — they let you use LemonSugar Ai without managing separate API keys for every provider. One pass balance works across all models. We buy in bulk and pass the savings to you. If you prefer, you can add your own API keys in Settings and LemonSugar Ai will route directly to providers, skipping our pass system entirely.
What happens when I run out of passes?
On Lo-Fi (free), wait for the daily refill or upgrade to Thrifty to remove the daily cap and unlock premium models — ideal once you're juggling more than one class. You can also set a monthly budget cap in Settings so LemonSugar Ai pauses paid routing at your limit.
Can I use my own API keys?
Absolutely. Go to Settings → API keys and add keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or OpenRouter. LemonSugar Ai will route directly to those providers using your keys, bypassing our pass system and saving you the OpenRouter markup fee. This is ideal for power users spending $100+/month.
What models are supported?
LemonSugar Ai supports a curated catalog of frontier and open-source models across OpenAI (GPT-4o, GPT-5), Anthropic (Claude Haiku, Sonnet, Opus), Google (Gemini Flash, Pro), xAI (Grok), and leading open-source models (Llama, Qwen, DeepSeek, Mistral). See the full live list on our Models page.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Plan & passes and tap 'Cancel plan.' Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. You can resubscribe anytime.
Does LemonSugar Ai follow Responsible Ai principles?
Yes. LemonSugar Ai is built around the core principles of Responsible Ai: transparency (every reply is labelled with the model and cost), user agency (presets, per-task overrides, training opt-out, budget caps), privacy (RLS-scoped storage, metadata-only logs, no training on your data), safety (rate limits, classifier escalates low-confidence prompts to safer models, in-app Report button reviewed weekly), fairness (routing decisions never depend on who you are), and accountability (auditable routing logs excluding your prompt content).
