Why most flashcard decks don't help

Generic decks are full of cards you already know. Making your own takes longer than studying. The cards that matter are the ones you missed, and those are exactly what a good system should capture.

How it works

  1. Do homework or practice with Sugar.
  2. Every miss becomes a card with a plain explanation.
  3. Cards return on a spaced schedule tied to your test date.
  4. Grade yourself: Again, Hard, Solid or Easy. Solid cards space out, and misses come back sooner.

Already have decks?

Import your Quizlet or Anki decks. They're reviewed alongside your homework misses, so everything you need for the test is in one place.

Homework that ends. Misses that return.

Sugar guides you through the problem, saves what you missed, and brings it back in short practice before your test.

Questions

How are the flashcards made?

When you miss a step in homework or practice, Sugar saves it as a short card with the question and a clear explanation. You don't have to type anything.

How often do cards come back?

On a spaced schedule: sooner after a miss, further apart each time you get it right, and lined up with your test date.

Can I import my existing decks?

Yes. You can import Quizlet and Anki decks, and they join the same review schedule.

Are flashcards free?

Practice and review are part of Thrifty. The free Lo-Fi plan includes 10 messages a week.
